About this event

Eating Well on a Budget

Sign-up for one of our FREE face-to-face Nutrition and Cookery classes facilitated by The Food Chain on Thursday evenings at a lovely private venue near King’s Cross, London.

Sessions are free and open to everyone living with HIV in Camden and Islington and each class is led by a qualified Dietitian and a volunteer Chef.

The course aims to provide participants with a greater understanding of nutrition and how to eat a balanced varied diet, as well as practical demonstrations in preparing meals.

Eating Positively sessions aim to:

  • Help people better manage their own health.
  • Reduce people’s risk of developing further health complications.
  • Improve people’s overall quality of life.
  • Increase people’s confidence in the kitchen… and teach practical cooking skills.

Classes are suitable for everyone, whether you can already cook or have never learnt the basics. Each class includes nutritional theory, a cooking demonstration and a supervised cooking exercise, after which participants sit down to eat the food they cooked together. All participants go home with class information and recipe handouts.

Numbers are limited to a maximum of 12 participants and places will be allocated in advance on a first come, first served basis. So please Register now to avoid disappointment.
